About
Meeting of the Minds aka MOTM (pronounced: modem) began as a lunch with friends in 2007, with the intention of establishing the connection and inspiration which comes when like-minds meet.
The meet ups draw inspiration from two groups. The first being JUNTO, which was a meeting that Ben Franklin organized which eventually started the first Library and Hospital in the United States. The other group being the Mastermind Alliance for which the early 20th Century Industrialists organized. Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Andrew Carneige, Harry Firestone (Firestone Tires) and a few other entrepreneurs would regularly meet – the rest is history.
